The famous American driver Steve Baker won the world champion 750 title in 1977.
Winning the same year the famous races of 100 and 200 miles in Daytona.
At the age of 67, Steve Baker is still passionate about speed bikes and has been participating for several years in classic european events within the Yamaha Historic Racing Team which is the official Yamaha Europe classic events team.
Managed by the former pilot Hubert Rigal, this team has asked Jacky Germain, the former trainer of Team Sonauto Yamaha Christian Sarron and Patrick Pons world champions, to reconstruct a 1978 TZ 750 identical to the 0W31 official used at the time.
This bike has of course been improved, for security reasons: Brembo brakes and modern Öhlins shock absorber.
Steve has been using this bike for three years and will use it again in 2020 on the following events:
· 200 Miglia di Imola 2020 (3 May)
· Paul Ricard CBC 2020 (May 10)
· Legend Dijon Moto Coupes (May 31)
· Biker’s Classic Spa (4th of July)
After this last date, this bike (which according to Steve is better than its vintage 0W 31…) will be available for sale.
