After the great success of the 500 Mach III, KAWASAKI decide in 1972, to propose a motor bike even more powerful. Some improvements however are made. The frame is of larger section to guarantee a better rigidity and the front braking is done from now by a disc brake. Its three cylinder two stroke-engine gives a particularly powerful character to it. The fantastic accelerations of the H2 will immediately make it enter in the legend. This will become the two stroke bike with the largest capacity never produced by Kawasaki.
The too short period during which the KAWASAKI 750 H2 was diffused, despite everything, was sufficiently long to enable it to become a true myth and to make a whole generation dream.
Also very much used on the racing track, “the H2” will win many races, often without any preparation and in its standard configuration.
KAWASAKI 750 H2 will remain forever the must of the Seventies 2 stroke-engine. The advised collectors are not mistaken there. It is increasingly required in its original configuration and its purchase became an excellent placement because it’s part of the classic bikes that keep their value.
The here presented bike is a splendid KAWASAKI 750 H2 from 1972, which corresponds to the first year of commercialisation. The power is still 74 hp (before going down to 71 hp (from 1974 on). The bike was imported from the US to France in 2007 with a total mileage of 26,600 miles. Upon its arrival it was entirely dismantled, the mechanics were controlled (cylinders, pistons, rings, con-rods, bearings, float needles, gaskets, jets…) and restored to new condition. The frame and mechanics were entirely restored (frame sand blasted and epoxy painted, the fairing elements repainted strictly respecting the original decoration). The dampers, chain kit, tires, indicator lights, air filter, wire-wheels, complete exhaust system, original bolts were entirely replaced by new parts. This bike has only run 400 miles (approx. 650 km) since it’s entire restoration.
In perfect condition and ready to take the road, this bike is now available in France and visible upon appointment.
