Frequently Asked Questions

On this page you'll find answers to some of the questions frequently asked by our clients.

Can I see the price in my local currency?

You can select from a number of major currencies (Euro, US Dollars, Swiss Francs, British Pounds, Japanese Yen) from the CURRENCY drop down list in the top left hand corner or our site. If your currency does not appear in the list you can go to this page to calculate the amount directly.

What about taxes (VAT and customs duties)?

We indicate the tax status of each vehicle on the page with its full description just above the image thumbnails. This is usually either European Union, Swiss or US taxes paid or an Export price if the price does not include taxes. In certain cases a vehicle may have travelled between countries (e.g. from Italy to the US and then to Switzerland) and documentation exists which would allow the vehicle to be re-imported to any of these countries without having to pay the taxes a second time. If this is the case it will be indicated in the vehicle's description.

By taxes paid we intend import duty and VAT (E.U. & Switzerland only). State sales taxes for the United States and registration or road taxes are not included.

What about a price for export?

An export price is only possible on vehicles (usually new ones) that either have never had local taxes paid or local laws permit the taxes to be recovered if the vehicle is sold for export. We generally indicate that the price is an Export price when this is possible or specify it in the vehicle's description. Please note that sales within the European Union are not considered export sales as a customs union exists between these countries.

What about your commission?

All the prices of the vehicles on our site are inclusive of all commissions.

What about shipping?

All our prices exclude shipping costs which will vary on the location of the vehicle and the destination and type of shipping you choose (sea, air, truck). If you ask us for rough quote on shipping costs please send us your address and how and where you'd prefer the vehicle to be shipped. We can help arrange shipping or you can arrange it yourself with the transport company of your choice. Or alternately you can collect the vehicle yourself.

What if I have questions which aren't answered by the information on the site?

Please email us your questions. If it's the first time you're contact us please include your name, location and a contact telephone number and we'll endeavour to supply you with the answers as soon as we can.
