Officially presented on June 1st, 2006 at the Italian Grand Prix, this is the first MotoGP for road use: the Ducati Desmosedici 1000 RR. The dream of riding a MotoGP bike on the road can become reality.
This bike is one of the most exceptional road bikes ever built. With its 1000 cc V4 90° engine surpassing 200 bhp and a total weight of less than 171 kg it’s difficult to find a more performing bike.
With potential high speeds of 310 km/h (to be tested only on the race track, of course…) the technology equals the one of its MotoGP siblings.
It has Ducati’s mythical signature, the desmodromic distribution. Even more exceptional, the engine is made of noble materials: magnesium carters, titanium rods and valves… The gearbox is extractible.
The tubular frame uses the shapes of the GP6 MotoGP and comes with inversed 43 mm Öhlins forks.
The brake calipers are Brembo Monobloc 4-piston with radial fixation, associated in front with 320 mm double discs. The “Marchesini” wheels area forged and machined magnesium alloy.
This Desmosedici is a single owner bike. Bought new in 2009 in Luxembourg, this is a “full power” model (200 bhp). Sparingly used (2,454 km) it is in concourse condition.
It comes with all factory accessories: spare keys, cover, workshop stand, user manual, limited series plate…
This model being a limited series production of only 1,500 copies, the here presented bike is number 0974/1500.
It’s available in France, Paris, with a road registration from Luxembourg.
This bike has been sold.
