This exceptional Norton Commando Egli is very rare. The cycle and mechanics “Egli” are destined to receive a Vincent engine.
The owner of this 1970 Norton Commando Egli Racing presented the bike to Fritz Egli in 2009, in order to know the bike’s history.
Following Fritz Egli’s archives the bike was sold new equipped with a Vincent engine (frame number: EV 148 A) to the Swiss racer Franz Peier. Peier used this bike in the Swiss championship during several years. In 1973 Peier replaced the Vincent engine by a lighter Norton Commando 750 (engine nr: 220 661).
The bike is in perfect running order! It’s equipped with a dry cluch, Cerani front brakes, Cerani GP forks and two exhaust pipes.
Immediately available in Switzerland.
This is thus an authentic Norton Egli bike from 1970. (Certificate of authenticity delivered by Firtz Egli is available). |
