In 1980, Benelli replaced its 750 Sei 6-cylinder motorcycle by the all-new 900 Sei. With a displacement increased to 906 cc, the new top of the line Benelli develops 80 bhp and has an increased top speed, reaching close to 210 km/h. On the other hand, the weight also increased to 220 kg.
The changes to the motorcycle are not contained to the engine. The braking system is improved with dual, 320 mm front discs and a single 260 mm in the rear.
The Benelli 900 Sei changes the most on the aesthetics side. New alloy wheels, monocoque and headlamp flaring, the 900 Sei looks more modern than its predecessor. Produced until 1987, it is replaced by the 900 Sei Sport which failed to attract customers. In 1990, the Benelli 900 Sei Sport is cancelled and marks the end of the Benelli 6 cylinders.
The 1985 Benelli 900 Sei we are offering is exceptional. With only 6 km on the clock, it is like new. This particularity reinforces its collectability since only a few thousand 900 Sei were built. It may just be the last brand-new 900 Sei available in existence!
This 1985 Benelli 900 Sei is immediately available in Europe with its Dutch registration. |
