In the middle of the 1970s, Benelli and Moto Guzzi presented at the Milano show a few motorcycles prototypes using a unique 4-cylinder 250 cc engine. Wrapped in a typical 1970s design, these very modern machines were equipped with 4 carburettors and 2 megaphone-style exhausts.
In 1976, the Benelli 250 Quattro is the first motorcycle to hit the market with this engine, followed in 1977 by the Moto Guzzi 254.
The Benelli 250 Quattro uses a unique flaring, whereas the Moto Guzzi 254’s one was later used on the Benelli 254 as well. On the other hand, the counters are similar to the ones of other Benelli’s motorcycles and are placed on the tank.
The rims are lightweight alloy and the braking system is composed of a single front disc with a rear drum.
The Benelli 250 Quattro we are offering for sale is an exceptional opportunity to purchase one of the rarest 4-cylinder models ever produced. More importantly for a collector, this Benelli is still on its delivery mileage with only 92 km on the clock!
This Benelli 250 Quattro is immediately available in Switzerland. This bike has never been road registered, a Swiss homologation document is available with the bike. |
